Corporate Challenge                                                                                                         March 2014– May 2014

• Engaged in a team-based competition constructing a business plan to improve sales of the startup Herbal Destination including elements of retail market penetration, outsourcing social media platforms. Projected outcomes; fifty (50) percent increased market exposure and three-fold profitability increase over two years. Placed 1st in the 2014 NYIT-SOM Corporate Challenge.

Professional Enrichment Program                                                                                                          May 2014

• Presented first student-led Professional Enrichment event about creating a business/work portfolio.

International Workshop                                                                                                                          April 2014

• Participated with a diverse team of multi-national students in Finland to simulate all aspects of creating and managing a business. Placed first in profits and second overall competing in Bo-Cash simulation.

Examined the criminal case Charlene Corley vs. The United States; Provided, in detail, three methods that could have been implemented towards detection of fraud (Embedded Audit Modules, Benford’s Law, and budgetary controls).
